Personal Prayer Coaching

Personal Prayer Coaching at Designed to Be is a prayer-centered discipleship process for individuals and couples who want their relationship with God to become lived experience rather than observational. This is not counseling and not advice-giving. It is guided partnership with the Holy Spirit — learning to recognize His voice, respond to His leading, and remove the barriers that keep you from walking in the life Jesus is offering now.


Many believers faithfully follow God yet feel stuck watching transformation happen in other people’s lives. Personal coaching helps move faith from visitational to dwelling in the presence of God.


Who Prayer Coaching is For?

Personal coaching is for people who desire a real and active relationship with Jesus that reshapes everyday life and relationships.


This includes:

  • Individuals longing for deeper intimacy with God
  • Couples wanting Christ to become the center of their closeness
  • Believers wanting confidence in hearing God’s voice
  • Christians feeling stuck in routine or religious mediocrity
  • People who sense God has more for them but don’t know how to access it
  • Anyone ready to cooperate with the Lord in removing spiritual barriers

The goal is not information — it is heart transformation into a responsive, Spirit-led life. (Matthew 18: 2-4)



What Happens in Coaching?


Many believers love God but feel spiritually stagnant — repeating cycles, carrying unresolved patterns, or living at a distance from the peace they read about in Scripture.


Personal coaching helps you:

  • Recognize how God uniquely speaks to you
  • Replace confusion with discernment and confidence
  • Identify barriers affecting intimacy with Him
  • Address spiritual resistance with willingness and truth
  • Cooperate with the Holy Spirit instead of resisting Him unintentionally
  • Establish rhythms of abiding rather than striving
  • Experience freedom and renewed direction

This process is not rushed. Often clarity grows between sessions as the Holy Spirit continues working in daily life.


Format & Rhythm


Personal prayer coaching sessions are conducted by phone or FaceTime and last one hour. Because change unfolds over time, multiple sessions are recommended. Spacing sessions allows the Holy Spirit to reveal root barriers and bring the heart to genuine willingness to resolve them.


Two common rhythms:

  • A session every two weeks for three to four months, then as needed
  • Participation in the three-month Personal Coaching Package
